Amélie Jacquin is a French perfumer at Givaudan, based in Paris and widely seen as part of a new wave of contemporary creators. Her journey into fragrance began in childhood in the Grasse region, surrounded by jasmine, rose, lavender and oleander, exploring local flowers and smelling perfumes with her mother — memories that quietly shaped her path towards perfumery.
After formal training in perfumery, she joined Givaudan and has since developed a style that bridges nature and city life. Paris is her creative playground: the city’s youthful energy, new restaurants and art exhibitions become sparks she translates into scent, working in colours, textures and contrasts rather than just lists of ingredients.
Travel is another key source of inspiration — flowers and plants, landscapes, people, food and culture all feed her olfactory imagination and expand her palette. She gravitates towards compositions that balance brightness and intimacy, juicy facets and polished woods, crafted with technical precision but guided by emotion. As she often says, creating a perfume is deeply personal, almost like offering a small piece of herself to those who wear it.
Her creative signature is marked by vibrant, textural fragrances that capture the spirit of a place or moment in time, whether for niche houses or more accessible projects, always with a clear, modern and effortlessly wearable character.
