Caroline Dumur

Caroline Dumur is a French perfumer at IFF who traces her love of fragrance back to her grandparents’ farm in northern France, where the smell of flowers, cheese, hay and animals awakened her sense of smell and fascination with scent.

A chemistry graduate with a Master’s degree from ISIPCA, she describes herself as a modern, daring and inquisitive perfumer with no single olfactory “signature”, but a strong attraction to rich, multi-sensory textures. At IFF she creates for major brands as well as niche and more natural-leaning projects, moving from bright green florals to chic, gourmand and festive compositions often built around incense, jasmine, musks, pistachio and roasted facets inspired by her long-standing affection for North Africa.
