Christian Alori

Christian Alori is an Argentine-American perfumer whose work is driven by movement, fluidity and adrenaline — whether in music, surfing or scent. Born in New York to Argentine parents, he grew up between two cultures and was first initiated into perfume by an older cousin who introduced him to iconic classics on fragrance-shopping trips for the family.

At 15 he moved to Buenos Aires, initially focusing on music and sound engineering, until a story about a perfumer who turned a diving experience in Chile into a fragrance completely shifted his path. Fascinated by this creative process, he studied perfumery at a local school modelled after ISIPCA while working in a fragrance house, getting to know raw materials in depth and learning how they evolve over time.

Determined to grow, he sold his car and returned to New York, joining IFF and progressing from lab assistant to perfumer, completing the IFF Perfumery School and learning alongside industry legends. Today he composes fragrances for international markets — from mainstream fashion brands to more niche, story-driven projects — treating perfume as a living form: an alchemy of powerful ingredients, synergy, contrast and addictive energy, often inspired by water, nature and musical rhythm.

His creative signature is defined by dynamic, textured structures and luminous trails where woody, citrus and ambery facets interplay with more tactile accords. For Christian, perfume is more than a beautiful blend; it is a lasting, immersive experience designed to “be smelled through time” and to leave a strong emotional imprint.
