Geza Schoen is a trailblazing German perfumer known for his minimalist, concept-driven approach to fragrance. Born in Kassel, he trained at Haarmann & Reimer (now Symrise), blending chemistry and creativity from early on. In 2006 he launched his brand Escentric Molecules, focusing on singular aromatic molecules. His most iconic work, Molecule 01, revolves almost entirely around Iso E Super—a synthetic ingredient celebrated for its seductive and enveloping aura.
Schoen’s vision challenges conventional perfumery: he embraces purity in composition, experiments with conceptual aroma ideas, and collaborates on olfactory art installations. Alongside his own collections, he has contributed to houses like Ormonde Jayne, Diesel, Boudicca, and other niche brands. Based in Berlin, he keeps pushing the boundaries of aroma and invites us to experience a new dimension of fragrance through elemental scent.
