Gregorio Sola

Gregorio Sola is one of Spain’s most renowned contemporary perfumers. As a Senior Perfumer and Creative Director at Puig for over 19 years, he has specialised in crafting lifestyle fragrances for some of the world’s most influential brands, blending creativity, technical expertise and a distinctive sensitivity to raw materials.

Born into a family connected to the fragrance industry, he discovered his vocation early on, experimenting with his own olfactory formulas as a child. He trained as a chemist, specialising in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alcalá, before studying perfumery at the prestigious ISIPCA school and further refining his craft with international institutions and fragrance houses.

A full member of the Spanish Academia del Perfume, where he occupies the “Sandalwood Chair”, Gregorio Sola is also a key figure in promoting olfactory culture. He has contributed to pioneering projects that explore the dialogue between art, technology and scent — including multi-sensory museum experiences — and is widely recognised for his expertise in sustainability, regulation and new technologies in perfumery.

His creative style is defined by luminous, finely textured compositions in which tradition and modernity coexist effortlessly, making him a reference voice for Spanish-speaking perfume lovers and professionals alike.
