Hamid Merati-Kashani

Hamid Merati-Kashani is one of the most influential perfumers in contemporary perfumery, recognized for his ability to unite the olfactory richness of the Middle East with European creative precision.

Born in Germany to an Iranian father and a German mother, he spent part of his childhood in Isfahan, surrounded by rose fields that awakened his fascination with scents and laid the foundations of his vocation. Trained in chemistry and with a solid career in the industry, he is currently Principal Perfumer at DSM-Firmenich, where he creates compositions for world-renowned brands.

His style is distinguished by the generous use of noble raw materials and by the creation of perfumes with character, depth, and memorable trail. Works such as Layton, Pegasus, and Percival by Parfums de Marly, or Oud Rose Intense by Fragrance Du Bois, are clear examples of his mastery.
