Jacques Huclier

Jacques Huclier is a French perfumer and Senior Perfumer at Givaudan, renowned for bold, addictive and thoroughly modern creations. A graduate of ISIPCA in Versailles, he began his career at Haarmann & Reimer under the mentorship of Olivier Cresp and Pierre Bourdon, quickly gaining recognition for his taste for powerful, contrast-driven structures.

In the mid-1990s he authored one of the first major masculine gourmands—a cult fragrance built around caramel, coffee and patchouli—which helped redefine the idea of men’s scent and crystallised his signature: strong, memorable formulas that play with vanilla, tonka bean, patchouli and ambery, almost addictive accords. Since 2007 he has been part of Givaudan’s fine-fragrance team, composing for international brands and niche houses, drawing inspiration from art, music and off-the-beaten-path travels.
