Jean-Marc Chaillan

Jean-Marc Chaillan is a French perfumer who grew up in Grasse, at the heart of a family devoted to fragrance. The son of a renowned perfumer and industry executive, his earliest memories are filled with mimosa, jasmine and the behind-the-scenes life of labs and factories.

After studying Mathematics, he trained at ISIPCA and started his career at J&E Sozio, working alongside his father and learning how to balance tradition, technique and creativity. He later joined IFF, first in São Paulo and then in New York, where the colour, rhythm and warmth of Brazil had a lasting impact on his olfactory style.

Today he is Vice President Senior Perfumer at IFF New York, focusing exclusively on fine fragrance. His signature blends French heritage with Brazilian influences, creating precise yet sensorial compositions designed to resonate emotionally, crafted for niche houses and leading names in contemporary perfumery.
