Julien Rasquinet

Julien Rasquinet is a senior French perfumer now at CPL Aromas. He first pursued business studies, but a pivotal encounter with master perfumer Pierre Bourdon changed his path. Under Bourdon’s mentorship, he undertook an intense apprenticeship that launched him into the perfume world. He later worked with IFF, Firmenich, and honed his craft in the Middle East, absorbing its rich olfactory heritage.

Rasquinet’s style is narrative and emotional: he crafts fragrances that tell stories, often drawing from his olfactory memories of Normandy — freshly cut grass, ripe apples, damp earth — and merging them with modern accords. His creations include niche and artisanal perfumes like Bois d’Ascèse, Cuir Velours and Iris Cendré. With a blend of romantic imagination, technical precision and sensitivity, he creates scents with character, depth and emotional resonance.
