Marc Fanton D’Andon

Marc Fanton d’Andon is a French perfumer who has spent most of his career at Robertet, joining the house in 1981 as a trainee under perfumer Micheline Vachot and later becoming a junior, then senior perfumer. Within this creative environment he developed a highly recognisable style, expressing himself mainly through fruity and gourmand accords with a strong focus on softness, comfort and texture.

He has composed numerous fragrances for international bath and body ranges, lifestyle collections and selective brands, as well as more artistic projects for European niche houses. His work includes iconic fruity eaux, hammam-inspired ritual lines, bodycare for Italian labels, children’s scents and standout creations such as L’Arbre de la Connaissance for Jovoy—an aromatic green fig that has become a cult favourite.

Fanton d’Andon’s signature lies in an approachable, quietly sensual gourmandity that never feels heavy: juicy fruits, airy florals, clean musks and creamy woods that cocoon the skin. He often compares perfume to a musical score—“a melody that evolves as you go along”—where each raw material enters at the right moment to build a luminous, addictive scent memory.
