Marine Ipert

Marine Ipert is a French perfumer who grew up in the south of France, between the mountains and the sea, with her childhood marked by the successive bloom of lavender, mimosa, jasmine, orange blossom and rose. With a perfume-loving mother and a father devoted to their lush garden, her sense of smell was awakened very early; at thirteen she met a Grasse perfumer and instantly knew this would be her path.

She joined ISIPCA in 2010 and trained in both chemistry and perfumery, spending two years as an apprentice at IFF before entering Symrise’s internal perfumery school, where she rose from junior to in-house perfumer. After more than a decade of experience and collaborations involving IFF, Givaudan, Argeville and Symrise, she moved in 2023 to Takasago’s Fine Fragrance studio in Paris as a perfumer, working for international brands and niche projects.

A lifelong lover of drawing, fashion and architecture, Ipert imagines scents as shapes, lines and textures. She enjoys turning everyday objects and moments into olfactory narratives and exploring different cultures, landscapes and tastes to craft clear, contemporary and expressive fragrances—such as Spicydelice, created for Maison J.U.S—that invite the wearer into vivid, sensory stories
