Marypierre Julien is a French perfumer from the south of France, where lavender fields, sun-dried linens and terracotta tiles scented with essence shaped her earliest memories. These impressions led her to study at ISIPCA, the renowned perfumery school in Versailles, from which she graduated in 1997.
She trained under legendary perfumers Jean-Louis Sieuzac and Bertrand Duchaufour, then worked at Takasago and Quest—later acquired by Givaudan—building an international career between England and France. Today she is a Senior Perfumer at Givaudan, creating fragrances for niche houses and leading global brands, recognised for luminous, solar compositions with elegant, unexpected twists.
Julien’s signature is rooted in the desire to recreate the joy and softness of Provence: fragrances that feel radiant and uplifting, often built around familiar notes like lavender or florals, yet subtly transformed through contrast. For her, perfumery is an art of balance and generosity—blending ingredients to capture memories, emotions and a sense of happiness on the skin.
