Olivia Giacobetti (born 1966) is a French perfumer from Boulogne, the daughter of photographer and filmmaker Francis Giacobetti. Drawn to scent from an early age after seeing a perfumer on screen and growing up in a highly creative environment, she started working with Annick Goutal at sixteen, then trained as an assistant perfumer at Robertet, where she learned the craft directly from raw materials.
In 1990 she founded her own laboratory, Iskia, and began composing fragrances for niche French houses and international brands. Later she launched her personal line, Iunx, a collection of perfumes, candles and body products designed as pure, almost meditative olfactory experiences. Since then she has worked as an independent perfumer, collaborating with some of the most influential names in contemporary perfumery.
Giacobetti is celebrated for an airy, transparent, minimalist style that captures fleeting moments, atmospheres and everyday gestures. She was among the first perfumers to popularise fig as a modern fragrance note in the 1990s, and often describes perfume as a symbolic language that speaks to the unconscious, where naturals and synthetics combine to create soft, insinuating and deeply poetic trails on the skin.
