Olivia Jan

Olivia Jan is a French perfumer with over twenty years of experience between France and the United States, widely recognised for her expertise in natural raw materials. A graduate of ISIPCA in Versailles, she began her career at Robertet in Grasse, where she discovered a deep passion for naturals and learned how to showcase their complexity in fine fragrance, personal care and air care.

She grew up in a small town in north-eastern France, in the heart of a natural park, surrounded by lilac, honeysuckle, pine needles warming in the sun and damp earth. As a child, long before she knew perfumery was a profession, she would steep flowers in water to extract their scent, intuitively experimenting with her own extractions. For Olivia, each season still has its own smell, from the green florals of spring to the resinous heat of summer and the earthy quietness of winter.

After her studies, she refined her craft at Chanel and then at Robertet in Grasse and Paris, before moving to New York in 2005 to join Robertet’s U.S. team, where she spent thirteen years. In 2018 she became a Senior Perfumer at drom fragrances, further expanding her creative scope while remaining firmly anchored in the world of naturals and their sustainable use.

Her creative signature lies in luminous, finely textured compositions where natural ingredients are allowed to speak clearly, often inspired by travel, fashion and contemporary art. Olivia sees each fragrance as a story meant to feel genuine on skin — an olfactory translation of places, memories and emotions grounded in real life.
