Olivier Polge

Olivier Polge is a French perfumer born in 1974 in Grasse, the historic heart of perfumery. The son of perfumer Jacques Polge, he grew up surrounded by raw materials and bottles, yet first studied Art History and even considered a career in classical music before embracing fragrance creation.

He began his career in ingredient houses in Grasse and Geneva, then joined a major international fragrance company where he signed some of the most influential scents of recent decades and was awarded the Prix International du Parfum in 2009.

In 2013 he joined Chanel’s fragrance division and, in 2015, succeeded his father as the house perfumer. From this role he honours and renews the brand’s olfactory heritage, bringing a luminous, finely structured and resolutely contemporary style that balances respect for tradition with a constant drive for innovation.
