Thierry Wasser

Thierry Wasser is a Swiss master perfumer, born in Montreux in 1961. After studying biology and earning a federal diploma in botany, he joined the Givaudan Perfumery School and was appointed fine fragrance perfumer in Paris in the late 1980s.

In 1993 he moved to Firmenich in New York and later to its Paris creative center, composing fragrances for major international brands. Since 2008 he has been Guerlain’s in-house perfumer and Director of Fragrance Creation—the fifth nose in the house’s history and the first from outside the Guerlain family—entrusted with preserving its heritage while bringing a modern, highly meticulous approach to raw materials.
