Antoine Lie is a French perfumer with a bold and distinctive olfactory personality. Born in Strasbourg, he studied chemistry before training in perfumery in Grasse, within the Roure tradition. After an extensive career at major houses such as Givaudan and Takasago, contributing to notable commercial fragrances, he chose independence in 2018 by founding ALOE – Antoine Lie Olfactive Experience.
His style is defined by exploring unconventional olfactory territories, embracing metallic notes, leather, vetiver, iris and surprising materials like vinyl or ether. Lie regards perfume as an art form and rejects overly safe or commercial approaches, always striving for identity, character, and creative risk.
