L'Or De Louis, the essence of opulence and majesty

Immerse yourself in the splendour of the Palace of Versailles with L'Or De Louis eau de parfum, a fragrance that captures the opulence and majesty of the reign of Louis XIV. This luxurious fragrance, enriched with 24-carat gold flakes, will transport you to the Grand Orangery of the palace in its golden age, evoking the elegance and splendour of the Court of the Sun King.

In April 1687, the orangery at Versailles becomes a theatrical stage for high society. More than a thousand Mediterranean trees stand in the cathedral-like galleries of the Orangery, a space designed by the king's architect to impress courtiers. Gardeners lit bonfires to keep the trees warm, and when the Sun King visited the greenhouse, the air would be filled with the heady scent of logs mixed with orange blossom. This combination created a golden aura that enchanted all present.

L'Or De Louis eau de parfum opens with a vibrant burst of orange blossom absolute, pomegranate, bergamot and jasmine absolute. These opening notes evoke the freshness and brightness of orange blossoms, combining sweetness and vivacity in an opulent introduction.

At the heart of the fragrance, notes of honey, Florentine iris, musk and cedar wood are revealed. This combination adds a warm and sophisticated depth, reflecting the richness of the orangery experience and the luxury of the Court.

Finally, the base features an enveloping blend of smoked wood, cade wood and oislet de chypre, a resinous accord that dates back to the 17th century. These notes provide a long-lasting and mysterious finish, evoking the deep, golden scent of the orangery in an olfactory experience that resonates with the luxury and elegance of the period.

Developed in collaboration with master perfumer Rodrigo Flores Roux, L'Or De Louis not only captures the essence of a historic moment, but also celebrates the richness of the orange blossom and the splendor of Versailles with the inclusion of toxin-free, cosmetic-grade 24-carat gold flakes.
