Jean-Claude Ellena was born in a family of perfumers in Grasse and learned this trade at the age of 17. It computes simple, unconcentrated formulas to strengthen the subtlety and expressivity of its compositions, mainly inspiring in everyday life.

This perfume house was born in 2000 when its founder Frédéric Malle decided to return the old splendor to perfume art. The idea is to guide their perfumers and give them total freedom when creating perfumes without any limits. Frédéric Malle has more than 30 years of experience in this world and offers the opportunity to the other perfumers to overcome themselves through each creation to obtain a masterpiece with each perfume and as a result a range of perfumes full of different personalities and styles.
