Pierre Montale is a French olfactory entrepreneur and the founder of niche perfume houses Montale and Mancera. Drawn by the East, he traveled through the Arab world and immersed himself in its aromatic traditions, discovering rare materials like oud. In 2003, he launched his namesake house in Paris, crafting bold compositions that blend rose, spices, precious woods and oud at high concentrations and with distinct signature. Montale is credited with introducing oud more broadly to Western perfumery. Later, he established Mancera with his daughter Amélie, expanding the creative range while preserving the core values of elegance and intensity.
