Within the Crown Collection of Clive Christian is a characteristic fragrance for its elegance and exquisite aroma, it is the Matsukita colony, which was first launched in 1892 and which honors its unique origin at the Crown Perfumery Company, which usually reinvents key perfumes belonging to a great historical repertoire. Matsukita is a rather subtle perfume born from the inspiration of a legendary Japanese princess who astonished the Victorian court with her elegance. The court was truly amazed with such elegance and this perfume house wanted, with this perfume, to capture a mystical grace using the finest ingredients of the high perfumery to evoke a memorable step.
A mysterious and exotic fragrance that was recreated in the year 2021 by Clive Christian opens with notes of green bergamot joining sophistically the sparkling pink pepper and the spicy nutmeg to create a fresh and invigorating exit that blends with a floral heart and smoked of Chinese imperial jasmine and math tea to end with notes made of blue jasmine
It is perfectly bottled in an exotic red jar quite striking but elegant thanks to its perfect lines and a golden lid simulating a crown to conserve correctly until the last drop of this fragrance and that besides leaving an aroma on your skin will decorate any part of your room.
Clive Christian Perfume is an independent market-leading British perfume shop, whose goal is to create the best perfumes in the world. The predecessor of the brand, the Crown Perfumery Company, founded in 1872, is the only house that has obtained permission to use the crown of Queen Victoria in its jars. An image that defines every bottle of this brand until today.
In 1999 Clive Christian acquired the Crown perfumery in London which earned her name thanks to Queen Victoria, using her name and crown as a symbol of quality and excellence. The classic formulation of Clive Christian helped to create a new level in the high perfumery, so it was the queen's favorite and it was born of the need of the ladies of the Victorian society to use revitalizing aromas that would allow them to endure the corsets and clothes used at the time. Initially, ammonia salts were used, which smelled very badly, and it was precisely the son of a corsets manufacturer who had the idea of creating a revitalizing fragrance, but which smells well, which resulted in instant success.
Due to the position in the court by the Queen, this company had access to all commercial routes with perfumes, allowing it to use the most strange, pure and expensive natural ingredients that could be used in perfumery. The first creations of this perfume house were sold aboard the Titanic.
