Portrait of a Lady, elegance personified

If it is a sumptuous fragrance, it is Portrait of a Lady by Frédéric Malle, which was released in 2007 and belongs to the Amber olfactory family. The nose behind this captivating scent is renowned perfumer Dominique Ropion, who has created the portrait of the woman who wears it, as well as the sound of her voice and her gaze. It is a fragrance that represents the innate sophistication of women.

To begin with some charming notes of Turkish rose, it follows the exuberance of black currant, raspberry and clove in an elegant and sophisticated heart that ends with the richest accords of patchouli, sandalwood and incense.

These unmatched accords were packaged in a bottle aesthetically inspired by conceptual art and modernist design of the 20th century. A fairly simple but very captivating glass cylinder, which also has a black magnetic cap to properly preserve every last drop of this rich fragrance and prevent spills. Dominique Ropion is an adventurer in the art of perfumery. He trained at the legendary Roure Bertrand Dupont laboratory and is considered a star perfumer at IFF.
